Airbrushing - Venue
Airbrushing is a labour of love for me. It's not suitable for every job but the results can be fantastic and very eye-catching.
In the past i have painted Electric Guitars, Motorcycle Helmets, Walls, Displays, Laptops and even a Billiard Cue! Unfortunately i don't have a large image archive of previously painted items but as i do new items i will put online what i have done.
Airbrushing can be done on virtually any surface and in any medium. But bear in mind... it is a very time-consuming process and can be messy!
Lille London English Pub in Trondheim had recently put in a new wall and fire door and wanted something painted on it. It was first airbrushed to give the texture then lined to give it an old book drawing style. It is in a reasonably dark area so these photographs brighten it up a little and make the lines and airbrushing seem way more contrasting than they actually are.
Vista Bar & Nightclub in Trondheim changes their fronbt bar theme every few months. Usually the bar itself is overlooked and only the room is changed so they asked me to do something. The current theme is the Golden Bar theme and the name suggested Aztec and golden styles. I got samples of traditional Aztec art and paint them on the bar with some hot-rod flames to add a little new twist. Also the pillars in the bar were airbrushed to give a cracked plaster and old feel. The photos make the painting look less subtle than it actually is.
Roadhouse Bar in Trondheim had recently opened and they wanted their logo painted on a wall. First to be painted was the basic blue letter then the shadow was airbrushed. After the that the white glow was painted, then the highlits on the lettering were airbrushed. Finally it was outlined. It is in a reasonably dark area so these photographs brighten it up a little and make the lines and airbrushing seem way more contrasting than they actually are.
Cafe Dublin is an Irish Bar in Trondheim and on their curved stairwell wall they wanted some famous Dublin landmarks painted in an old charcoal hand-drawn style. These were done freehand with no masking to give the rougher look. The photos make the painting look less subtle than it actually is.
